DAY 1 Arrival at Paro & to Thimphu

Thimphu sightseeing & short hike to Chagri monastery

DAY 3 Thimphu to Punakha
Dochu la and hike to Lungchhutse goenpa

DAY 4 Punakha
Walk to Punakha Dzong and explore the beautiful courtyards

DAY 5 Punakha to Chumey
Long drive via Pele la and Chendibji chorten to Chumey in Bumthang

DAY 6 Chumey
Visit Tharpaling and Choedrak monasteries

DAY 7 Chumey to Jakar via Ura
Scenic drive to Jakar via Ura. Village and farm visit

DAY 8 Jakar
Valley walk to most important temples (Jampey, Kichu and Thamshing)

DAY 9 Jakar to Tang
Beautiful drive to Tang valley, Mebartsho (“burning lake”) & village life

DAY 10 Tang
Ogyen Choling museum and hike to Kuenzangdrak monastery

DAY 11 Tang to Phobjikha
Drive to Phobjikha valley, plenty of photo stops on the way

DAY 12 Phobjikha
Religious festival and valley exploration

DAY 13 Phobjikha to Paro
Return drive to Parto, Kyichu lhakhang

DAY 14 Taktsang
Hike to the famous Tigernest monastery with great views

DAY 15 Departure
Transfer to Paro airport and Tashi Delek!
