And what to say about our journey to Bhutan? It was just wonderful, unforgettable and perfectly organized. Sonam Chophel, our guide, is honestly the best guide we ever had – and we travel a lot in the whole world.

After visiting Bhutan the first time in November 2012 it was clear for the two of us, that we have to come back to this unique country with its stunning landscapes, friendly people and a unique atmosphere of peace and tranquility. We met Ulli that time in Bumthang. So when we planned to come back, it was clear to do it with Bhutan Homestay. Ulli already knew, what we expected from our trip; and so she worked out a measured itinerary for our trip: the Laya-Gasa-Trekking, a visit at the Wandue Tshechu and some day hikes, including lunch breaks at farmstays.

And what to say about our journey to Bhutan? It was just wonderful, unforgettable and perfectly organized. Sonam Chophel, our guide, is honestly the best guide we ever had – and we travel a lot in the whole world. He is so open minded, friendly, funny and cares about everything before you even think about it.

Our trekking crew was also very cool, and the equipment was much better than on all the other trekkings we did. Our 2-weeks-trekking was just amazing; the landscapes, the mountains, the yak herders, the villages, the rivers and the forests, the lonely camps high in the mountains with a million of stars above us – we already miss this all… Also the day hikes, the sightseeing and of course the festival were beautiful.
