Born in Trashigang in eastern Bhutan and raised in the capital, Thimphu, Pema brings together the best of both worlds: the warmth of rural Bhutan and an insider’s knowledge of city life.
For almost two years, Pema has been sharing his country with travellers as a cultural tour guide, and his passion shows in every journey. Friendly, curious and full of stories, he loves introducing guests to Bhutan’s rich traditions, vibrant culture and breathtaking landscapes. For Pema, guiding is about more than visiting sights; it’s about creating memorable experiences through warm hospitality, local insight and a genuine love for his homeland.
When he’s not guiding, you’ll most likely find Pema out on a trail. A keen and capable hiker, he loves exploring Bhutan’s mountains and forests and enjoys learning about cultures from around the world. He plans to earn his trekking licence in the future, so the adventures are only just beginning.
